❥ Folkmore Roles & Attributes
Skills: Immense strength, speed, and reflexes all learned by the Shopkeeper who trained Yor to be an assassin. Cleaning. Intolerance to poisons (although she can get drunk, she just won't die from the alcohol). Proficiency in stiletto weapons.
Canon Abilities: None
Role: Myth
Role Qualities/Attributes: Horns and a tail. Both will have red/black coloring, her tail resembling a thorny vine that ends with a rose.
Role Reasoning: While she's not inherently a bad person (quite the opposite, to be honest), the fact that she does assassinate people behind the scenes is something she desperately tries to hide. She also has a tendency to, at first, think up ways to solve problems via killing. She never acts on it, of course, she has enough wherewithal to berate herself immediately afterwards. But this is a way to sort of... physically manifest this dark side of her that she hides from literally everyone (except Anya but she can read minds and Yor has no idea Anya knows) and despite doing that line of work under the pretext that everyone she kills is a bad person, she clearly knows it's not something you casually drop on people either. Eventually, I'd like to plan for her to come to terms with that side of herself, that she may not need to hide it since she does her assassin work for the good of Ostania. She's not actually ashamed of being an assassin, but she does know it's not something you can just tell people and worry what they will think about you. Airheaded or not, she knows that side of her is different than what she shows the public. Also, perhaps even reveal to Loid what she does and is. I'm on the fence on her revealing it to other people unless she trusts them.

Option 2. Choose FOUR-FIVE of the following questions to answer and expand upon. You may choose a fifth question if you feel it is integral to your character's personality. Each answer has a 100-300 word requirement.
OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:
While we never get details on how the death of her parents affected Yor, it was clearly enough to send her to the Shopkeeper as a child to be trained as an assassin. Because of this, she has no issue defending her fake family, especially Anya, with extreme violence. Her brother still believes she is sweet, innocent, and pure. And, indeed, Yor is actually a very kindhearted individual, but she hides a very violent side in her assassin work. Her kind side is not fake either. However, because of her life as an assassin, her way of thinking is to often solve problems with murder (although she never actually acts on this as she has enough wherewithal to know this is wrong). Had her parents not died and she never went to the Shopkeeper, all we would have likely gotten is a woman who is very kind, but also very much an airhead. Instead, we have a kind, airheaded woman who is also capable of killing someone in various ways that involve sharp objects (she also makes sure it is a quick killing as she does not do torment or torture).
Yuri Briar, her brother, and her fake family, Loid and Anya Forger. Yuri is her brother whom she will always love and protect, having gone into the assassin work in order to give him a life and childhood that remained innocent (irony at its finest given her brother works for the SSS, a counterintelligence agency based off the Stasi during the Cold War of West and East Germany). He is also the reason she became an assassin in her youth, forgoing school in order to financially provide for Yuri after the death of their parents in the war. Loid and Anya Forger, despite not being a real family, have become essentially a real family to her. Yor has always had big sister instincts, but Anya brought out her maternal instincts as well. While she has no idea Loid is a spy, her relationship with him and Anya have gotten her to open up and not be so "robotic", according to her co-workers. It's obvious she cares deeply for Loid and Anya and will do anything to not only protect the facade, but the family as well.
Yor often struggles with her ability to be a suitable and normal wife and mother to Loid and Anya. She is well aware that the marriage is fake, that being Anya's mother is fake, and she really could do just the bare minimum to keep up pretenses and it would be fine. But she has ended up taking the role very seriously even if the only people to really see it are Loid and Anya. But often, she is found thinking up ideas on "getting rid" of would be competition such as Fiona Frost (Loid's fellow agent) or going overboard in solving problems such as literally parkouring her way to Anya's school to give the girl her PE uniform that she actually didn't need (there was no PE that day) because she somehow thought Anya would get expelled for not having it. Yor absolutely has no idea how to be a normal wife or mother which then leads to these catastrophizing thoughts because she does not want to stick out, which then also sometimes leads her to sticking out anyway and then she has to find a lie to get out of the situation (she's a bad liar) but thankfully, the people she has ended up lying to simply accept her lie and move on as her lies end up being that outrages and/or stupid. It helps that's she's a bit of an airhead and very scatterbrained in general.
Home. It's so easily her home with Loid and Anya. While it was probably easy enough for Yor to be on her own before, just going through the motions and working diligently at city hall. She was clearly not the most relaxed or comfortable, especially when she realized that being 27 and still single was a possible enough suspicion for the SSS to detain her (she doesn't know that her brother works for the SSS and would do everything in his power not to let her get caught). It's clear, however, that once she began her faux marriage and motherhood with Loid and Anya, that her attitude regarding who home life changed. She was also much more open and relaxed around her coworkers, often seeking them for more advice on how to be a better wife and mother, even. Home with Loid and Anya and their dog, Bond, has become that safespace. For her and her family, I think.
It may seem like a small thing, but the domesticity of being a wife and mother is something that she struggles with. Her greatest failing is honestly cooking. While it's not a one time thing, it's also known that her cooking is so bad that her brother throws up all the time while eating it (he has a sister complex, don't ask) but that Bond, their dog, frequently sees into the future if she offers to cook only to see Loid and Anya either very sick or possibly dead after eating her cooking. It one of the many ways Yor sees herself as a failure of a wife and mother. But, she did attempt to improve her skills by finally asking a co-worker, who is known for her cooking, to teach her.
...it mostly failed, honestly. But, she was able to recreate a dish Yor's mother used to make before she died and Loid and Anya loved it quite a bit! So, she mastered exactly one dish. Progress?!
